Cross the Pyrenees from France into Spain on this spectacular route that starts along the Canal du Midi and finishes in the Catalan city of Girona. This ride combines gentle French canal towpaths with dramatic mountain passes that will test the strongest riders. Toulouse is the starting point — a vibrant pink city in southern France. The route follows the beautiful Canal du Midi before turning south towards the Pyrenees. The mountain stages are demanding but the reward is extraordinary: crossing from France into Spain through legendary passes with panoramic views across both countries.
Who is this for?
A tough ride with serious mountain stages. Suited to strong cyclists with climbing experience. The Pyrenean crossings require excellent fitness and mental resilience. Day 1 along the Canal du Midi provides a gentle warm-up before the real test begins.
